CLEVELAND – Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley announced that a Cuyahoga County grand jury has returned an indictment charging Dalontay Edmond-Geiger Sr., 31, for kidnapping, stabbing, and shoving a 60-year-old woman into a plastic container in Cleveland.

In May 2023, Dalontay Edmond-Geiger Sr. picked up the victim, 60, and gave her a ride to his residence near West 97th Street and Henley Court in Cleveland. He physically assaulted her, stabbed her in the arm, zip tied her hands, and proceeded to torture her.

On May 2, 2023, the Cleveland Division of Police (CPD) responded to a welfare check at Edmond-Geiger Sr.’s residence. CPD located the victim inside a small plastic container, moaning in pain, on the porch. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where she is being treated for her injuries. Edmond-Geiger Sr. was arrested on the scene.

Dalontay Edmond-Geiger Sr. has been indicted on the following charges:

  • One count of Attempted Murder
  • Two counts of Felonious Assault
  • One count of Kidnapping
  • One count of Tampering With Evidence
  • One count of Having Weapons Under Disability

He will be arraigned at the Cuyahoga County Justice Center on Monday, May 15 at 8:30 a.m.
