CLEVELAND – The Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office announced that a Cuyahoga County grand jury has returned an indictment charging 44-year-old Hammodi Alnaser with Aggravated Murder among other charges for shooting and killing his 18-year-old son, Ahmed Alnaser, and his 42-year-old wife, Nadia Qolamany, in North Olmsted.

On September 19, 2026, Hammodi Alnaser shot Ahmed Alnaser and Nadia Qolamany multiple times inside their residence near Gessner Road and Evelyn Drive in North Olmsted. The North Olmsted Police Department and EMS responded to the scene and arrested Hammodi Alnaser. Nadia was pronounced deceased and Ahmed was transported to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

Additionally, at the time of the shooting, there were six other family members present, ages 3 to 17. A 14-year-old was grazed by a bullet and he was treated for his injuries.

On October 5, 2026, Hammodi Alnaser was indicted on the following charges:

  • Two counts of Aggravated Murder 
  • Four counts of Murder (A and B)
  • One count of Attempted Murder 
  • Six counts of Felonious Assault 
  • Two counts of Endangering Children 

He will be arraigned at the Cuyahoga County Justice Center at a later date.
