CLEVELAND – Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael C. He was also sentenced for additional incidents, including the shooting that linked him to the sexual assault.

“Doyral Wynn is one of the most violent and depraved individuals in our community. He deserves every day of his sentence of 40.5 years.”
Prosecutor Michael C. O’Malley
On May 2, 2024, a 37-year-old mother and her 19-year-old daughter were walking home from a local store located on Hayden Avenue in East Cleveland. They were approached by an unknown male dressed in all black wearing a mask. He produced a firearm and ordered them to put everything they were carrying into a bag. After they complied, he ordered them into a nearby field, forced them to the ground and continued to sexually assault both victims at gunpoint. After the assaults, he fired two shots into the air and told them they were free to go. After the assault, the victims went to a hospital and the incident was reported to police. Two shell casings were later recovered from the scene.
On March 7, 2025, a 34-year-old male was driving with his wife, 31, and their two children, 7 and 3, southbound on East 133rd Street in Cleveland. A black Jeep Cherokee began to follow their vehicle. As the 34-year-old male drove past the Jeep Cherokee, Doyral Wynn fired two shots at the victims’ vehicle. He immediately drove away. The victims were not injured in the shooting and the vehicle was not struck. The 34-year-old male identified Doyral Wynn as the shooter and one shell casing was recovered from the scene.
The shell casing from the shooting was entered into the NIBIN data base where it matched to the two shell casings recovered from the sexual assault scene.
A search warrant was executed on April 9, 2025, at a residence Wynn was staying at near East 111th Street and Ashbury Avenue in Cleveland. Seven firearms were recovered from a safe with Wynn’s social security card. On April 18, 2025, Doyral Wynn was arrested by the Cleveland Division of Police (CDP) and was found to be in possession of a firearm that matched the casings recovered from the sexual assault scene and the shooting scene. The firearm had been reported stolen in 2023.
The investigation was conducted by the Cuyahoga County Sherrif’s Department with assistance from the Crime Gun Intelligence Center, ATF Cleveland, CDP, and the East Cleveland Police Department. Firearm evidence, witness testimony, and DNA evidence linked Wynn to the crimes.
In addition, Wynn was convicted of Having Weapons Under Disability relating to an unconnected traffic accident where he was found in possession of a firearm.
On March 18, 2026, Doyral Wynn pleaded guilty to the following charges:
- Two counts of Rape (F1)
- One count of Aggravated Robbery (F1)
- One count of Felonious Assault (F2)
- Three counts of Having Weapons While Under Disability (F3)
- One count of Receiving Stolen Property (F4)
